Iguana vs. James and Mother In-Law

A couple days ago an iguana, for the first time ever, dared to snoop around INSIDE Maria's parents home. Maria's mom was home alone and sitting at the kitchen table while cutting up some green beans when an iguana quietly creeped inside. When Maria's mom stood up the iguana was startled and ran quickly inside her bedroom. Most iguana's stay far away from humans and are pretty harmless. There is actually a huge park in downtown Guayaquil where there are hundreds and hundreds of them walking around and climbing trees. You can actually touch them and even lift them up to take a picture. However, Maria lives outside the city and up on the side of a large hill where there is a lot of untouched forest. There are a few that roam Maria's backyard but THIS Iguana was huge and we had never seen him before. Anyways when Maria and I got home we saw the Iguana roaming on top of her mom's dresser. We tried placing lettuce to entice him to follow a path outside but he wasn't interested. We, Maria's mom and I, eventually chased him out with a long branch and broom. It was super entertaining because I am much more of a girl than her mom. Here are a couple pictures I took of the Iguana:

The Iguana was pretty causious not to touch anything on the dresser until we started chasing him out...then he knocked EVERYTHING to the floor.

His tail was sooo long...atleast five feet.
